Mission Report
Mission Board Report
February 16, 2010

This Report will only cover events in January 2010 and I will update you for February at the next meeting.  We closed out January with the preparations for the Concert the end of February on track for completion.  I am still hoping for a large turnout but I feel the promotion has not been the best this year.  By the end of January I had it on the website for Family Life Radio and had sent press releases to several news outlets including channel 12 without response.  I also have the concert advertised on Itickets.com and am waiting to hear how ticket sales are going through this venue.

The Eye Dr. has been in and the two women that are helping are doing a great job.  Having the paper work ready is making this a smoother operation.  The end of January I was approached by a hairdresser who will be in on Tuesday the 16th to cut hair.  Since that time another hairdresser has agreed to come and help whenever we are cutting hair.
After meeting with the vision group at Bowser’s I met with Dr. Anthony on Friday February 12 to discuss a bid on the Brown Funeral Home.  I know this is a February Event but I wanted you up to date with this.  We are asking that all of the Board be in prayer for this undertaking.  We are seeking God’s clear direction with this matter and your prayers are going to be a major part of any endeavor.  If we are convinced that it is God’s direction to move ahead we will present a bid on the funeral home to the owners after next week.

With your permission I will only be doing one report beginning with this month.
