Mission Board Report
December 2009
We have cleaned the clothing house in preparation for our Christmas Party on December 19th. Gifts have been collected and will be set out yet this week in preparation for the children and adults that will go through to choose a gift. We have had a lot of volunteers working for 2 weeks getting ready and there will be volunteers here for the rest of the week to put the finishing touches on what we are doing.
I have again spoken about the Mission at a couple of churches this month and have plans to speak at two churches in January. The Vision group is scheduled to meet on Thursday, January 28th at the home of the Bowsers. This is also the task force that will bring recommendations back to this board for action.
I am continuing work on the February Concert at Richfield. I now have confirmation from the Quartet, Reconciled but we are not going to be able to use Burning Heart because of some logistic problems. This needs to be finalized soon so we can begin to put out the information to the communities and churches. The talent is outstanding and we expect to have a great evening and hopefully we will have a larger turnout for this concert as we grow this event each year.
The kitchen has been busy this past month serving the numbers of people who come for lunch.
